New Brunswick’s film industry is on the rise—and so is the demand for trained local film crew members. From independent movies and commercials to TV series and streaming content, more productions mean more film industry jobs for New Brunswickers ready to break into the business.
Grip & Lighting Fundamentals is a hands-on microcredential designed for those new to the film industry, including individuals with limited or no on-set experience. Whether you're just starting out, exploring a new career path, or bringing trades experience from another industry, this training course gives you the set-ready skills you need to step onto a professional film set with confidence. You'll learn how grip and lighting teams work together to shape the look and feel of every shot—while building the in-demand technical skills that New Brunswick film crews are hiring for right now.
Upon successful completion of the Grip & Lighting Fundamentals microcredential, you’ll receive a digital badge—visual proof of your achievement. Share it on your résumé, LinkedIn, or e-portfolio to show employers exactly what you’ve learned and the skills you bring to set.
