Grade 11 Applicants

Are you currently in Grade 11 and planning what comes next after high school? Colleges and universities typically accept applications once you are in Grade 12, but at HÂþ»­ you can apply early as a Grade 11 student. This gives you a head start and a better chance of being "First Qualified, First Accepted" into your program of choice.

What benefit do I get from applying as a Grade 11 student?
  • HÂþ»­ program seats are all offered based on FQFA, first qualified, first accepted. That means the earlier you get your application in, the better chance you have at getting a seat.
  • Some of our most popular programs have waitlists, which means there could already be applicants “in line” for a seat. Applying early in Grade 11 gives you a better chance at being at the top of the list by the time you graduate and are ready for College.
How do I make sure I am ready to apply early, as a Grade 11 student?
  • Mark your calendar! Applications for Grade 11 students can be submitted on April 1st. (12:01 am, April 1)
    • If you submit your application prior to April 1st your application will be cancelled, and you will have to resubmit. This includes paying a new application fee.
  • Make sure you have a copy of your Grade 11 high school transcript. You must get a copy of this from your Guidance Counsellor, your class schedule printout from PowerSchool is NOT your transcript.
  • Pick the program you want to apply to. Visit HÂþ»­’s Full-Time Programs page and explore! If you need help choosing, you can contact one of our Student Recruitment Advisors and find out what program(s) may be the right fit for you.
  • Be ready to pay the $50.00 application fee to submit your application. You will be directed to pay online through the Service New Brunswick payment portal.
  • Set up your application account ahead of time, you can add the required personal information and academic history in advance, so you are ready for April 1. APPLY NOW
  • Make sure you keep a record of your application account username and password for future reference.
  • Make sure the email address you provide in your application is one that will be checked regularly. All HÂþ»­ Admissions communications will be sent to the email address on record. **Check your “Junk/Spam” email folder and flag HÂþ»­ email addresses as “Not Junk/Spam”.
I don’t see the term listed that I want to apply for. What do I do?

If you’re in Grade 11, apply for the next available term that your preferred program is offered. We’ll use all your other information to ensure your application is applied to the correct term. We’re happy to handle the details on our end.

For example: If you want to start your program in Fall 2025, select Fall 2024. Similarly, if you want to start your program in Winter 2025, select Winter 2024.

How do I apply online?

Read over our How To Apply page to get all the details. There are a few things that you won’t need to worry about until Grade 12, but this is a great way to prepare!

Here are the steps that are most important for you, as a Grade 11 applicant:

  • Step 1: Pick a Program and Campus – details in Step 1 tell you what information you will need when completing your online application.
  • Step 2:Review Program Admission Requirements – as a Grade 11 student your transcript will not necessarily show how you meet or are in the process of meeting, admission requirements, but you will be providing us with your Grade 12 transcript next year with that info!
  • Step 3: Payment Methods, Tuition and Fees – the only fee you need to worry about now is the application fee.
  • Step 4: What information should I have readily available? – This is a very important step. As you fill out your application you will be asked for some personal information and some educational background information.
  • Step 5: Submit your Application – please note that you should be ready to upload a copy of your transcript at the time of application.
  • Step 6: Submit your Required Documents: as a Grade 11 student the only document you need to submit is your High School transcript ** pick this up from your Guidance Counsellor and upload it when you apply. If you do not have a copy of your transcript when you submit your application please submit your transcript in your HÂþ»­ Application Portal by clicking the "Upload Document" button. Your application will be considered complete when it is paid, submitted, AND when we have your transcript.
What happens after I apply as a Grade 11 student?
  • Your application is automatically deferred to the proper start term.
  • You will receive an email from HÂþ»­ Admissions in September of your Grade 12 year to provide us with a current copy of your transcript. Get a copy of your updated transcript from your Guidance Counsellor and submit your transcript in your HÂþ»­ Application Portal by clicking the "Upload Document" button.
  • Mark your calendar! The deadline to provide your Grade 12 transcript will be 30 days from receipt of our email. If we have not received your transcript your application will be withdrawn.
  • Watch your email or check in your HÂþ»­ Application portal for important updates from HÂþ»­ Admissions regarding your application.
